Wish List for our Friendship Games Store
To All Citizens of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties:
The 27th Annual Friendship Games will take place on Friday October 12, 2007 at TY Park, 3300 N Park Road, Broward County.
As always, we will have the Friendship Store at the Games so consumers of mental health services in attendance will be able to use “Friendship Buck$” to acquire needed items. (Friendship Buck$ are given out to encourage consumers to participate in the many activities provided.)
Things we take for granted as ordinary and basic needs, many people in our network do not have, or do not have a way of acquiring. We are solving that problem through this “Prosperity Demonstration Project”.
If you have not looked around the house for the things that have not been touched or used in a year, I encourage you to do that now and donate them to The Friendship Games Store. Or if you wish to shop for some of the items yourself, them bring them to us; that’s great. Below is the wish list that we have developed. We plan to fill a 16 Foot POD Storage Unit with all the goodies you will bring. Then we will take the unit to the park for the Games. Collections begin on September 10,2012.
Many people are complaining about how hard things are. Can you imagine how hard it must be for people to live on less than $!00 per month the provide for personal effects, clothing and other creature comforts. Put a smile on someone’s face at the games by giving them something that will serve them for a good time to come.
Thanks you for listening. I hope that my letter stirs you into action. Let’s demonstrate prosperity regardless of how things appear today.
You are blessed beyond measure!

This year we have at least 15 agencies that work directly with people with mental illness participating in the event. We are very happy to say there has been an outpouring of support from our village and for this we are very grateful. It is not too late to get involved because at any moment, even on the day of the event, you can show up and be counted. We need volunteer/sponsors how know that they are blessed and are willing to share that blessing with others; especially those that our community may have forgotten because they have special needs. Be sure to call us and tell us how you desire to share your time, talents and treasures. We are waiting for your call. 786-337-5965. -Carol Hope, Founder/Director
